Coronavirus Update

Coronavirus changes to our processes to reduce patient footfall, and ensure we can stay open to treat our patients and protect the whole team. Please be patient with our staff, during this difficult time.

FACE MASKS – Please be advised all visitors to the Health Centre should be wearing a face covering. The Health Centre doors  are closed between 1pm and 2pm daily for lunch,  the telephone lines are open for medical attention 028 91638648.

  • We are moving to Telephone based Appointments. Telephone appointment requests must be made as close to 8.30 am as possible and are limited in number per day. If your requirement is NON URGENT please call later in the day. Urgent requests may be dealt with throughout the day. The reception staff may require more detail from you. Online bookings can no longer be made.
  • Repeat Prescriptions orders are now going to Nominated Chemists – Please ensure you name a chemist for these to go to. These will now take 96 hours to process. Repeat line is 028 91638649
  • Do NOT over order medications – this is a Health Board Directive – items MAY BE rejected.
  • Acutes (medications that are NOT on repeat)– Can still be request via reception staff on the phone 028 91638648 and collected from reception by an infection free patient.
  • Attending the Practice – Please DO NOT  come into the Practice unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY –  We ask that all contact be made by telephone. This is to ensure our building remains infection free.

We will NOT be issuing sick-lines for Coronavirus symptoms, online certificates can be obtained via NHS UK – Get an isolation note.

  •  Sicklines for other conditions are now being emailed out to patients.
  •  We ask that you only come to the Treatment Room and Blood clinic by planned appointment – Telephone: 028 91515254. Please note we have been advised that Ear syringing CANNOT be carried out at present and may be suspended indefinitely.

Test Trace Protect

Testing and contact tracing can help to break the chain of transmission of coronavirus but it needs everyone’s support.

COVID Vaccine

Patients aged over 18 can now book at any regional Trust vaccination centres, see the SE Trust website or facebook page for further updates, or tel 0300 200 7813 or online at Covid Vaccinations Booking HSCNI

Booster vaccinations –  We have clinics planned for over 75yrs Spring Boosters. Please look out for a phone call, or text message to advise of a clinic time. Check our page on Booster vaccinations for booking info. Please let us know if you have been vaccinated elsewhere. If you do not hear from us, please attend a walk in clinic or make contact with the Practice.
