From 9th January 2024 patients requiring medical treatment for a minor injury can phone first by calling 02891 510110
Following telephone triage, patients will be advised on the next steps, which if appropriate, includes issuing an appointment time to attend the Ulster Hospital Minor Injuries Unit.
This does not affect patients who are experiencing potentially life-threatening illness or injury, who should call 999 or attend the Emergency Department for urgent medical attention.
The Phone First service will operate 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). However, the Minor Injuries Unit at the Ulster Hospital will remain open 8am-6pm 7 days per week.
